Interest on Cash Balance - Interest on cash balance is interest earned on cash balances held at a brokerage firm.  This interest should be entered using the IOB transaction code, and is credited to portfolio Cash.  No ticker symbol is required.

 

Interest to Cash - This is interest earned on a security which is credited to portfolio Cash.  This interest should be entered using an IN+ transaction code with a ticker symbol specified to indicate the security paying the interest.

 

Interest Reinvested - Reinvested interest is interest which is used to purchase additional shares of the security which paid the interest.  This interest should be entered using the IRI transaction code, along with a share quantity and a ticker symbol to indicate the security paying the interest.

 

Interest Withdrawn - This is interest which is not retained in the portfolio, but which is received by the owner of the portfolio.  It should be entered using the INW transaction code and a ticker symbol to indicate the security paying the interest.

 

Accrued Interest - This is interest paid when purchasing a bond, or interest received when selling a bond before the bond's maturity.  This interest should be entered in the Accrued Interest field of the bond purchase and sale transactions, rather than be entered as a separate portfolio transaction.
