Fund Distributions (Level 4/higher)

If the portfolio is a fund where distributions of income must be made to the fund members, these two transactions can be used to indicate movement of money out of the fund for distributions and reinvestment of these distributions.  Computationally, these transactions behave identically to the WDF (withdrawal) transaction and the DPF (deposit) transaction, but using these codes facilitate filtering and reporting on these types of transactions:

FDW - Fund Distribution Withdrawal :  This transaction indicates the sum of monies withdrawn from the fund to pay distributions.  Thus if the sum of the distributions for all fund members for a given date was $50,000, then this amount would be entered in the "Amount" field.

FDR - Fund Distribution Reinvested : This transaction indicates the sum of all monies from the aforementioned distributions which were reinvested.  Thus if the sum of distributions reinvested were $25,000 then that amount would be entered in the "Amount" field.

Expense Accrual and Amortization (Level 4/higher)

Some users may desire to accrue or amortize large infrequent expenses over the period of time to which they apply, where an accrual will be used where the expense occurs at the end  of the period and an amortization will be used when the expense (such as an advance paid management fee) is paid at the beginning of the period.  The "XAE" transaction is designed for this purpose.  Examples of this and instructions for setting this up are provided in the topic Expense Accrual and Amortization.

XPS - Expense Paid from Shares: This is the equivalent of the combination of sale of shares of a fund (e.g. money fund) and an EXP transaction for expenses.
